BUILT
FROM EXPERIENCE
Our Legal Trainer has over a decade of
experience working at law firms in all capacities, and passes on that
knowledge and experience to our trainees. The class focuses on real
life pressures and problems that arise in a law firm atmosphere, recreates
some of the demands required in document production and re-enacts typical
scenarios. This not only gives the student excellent skills in handling
the software but also in handling the needs of the attorneys and their
requests. Once class is finished and the legal evaluation completed,
our trainer can pinpoint the best classification for the student: secretary,
potential operator or operator.
LEGAL
OPERATOR CLASSES
These classes consist of 21 hours of training
in Word or WordPerfect, which gives the intermediate skilled computer
user a more finely tuned skill that will enable them to perform at a
higher and more efficient level. Also covered in this class in detail
are legal terminology, legal document setup and symbols used by attorneys
not known to anyone except people who work in law firms.
LEGAL
UPGRADE & CROSS-TRIANING CLASSES
These classes are anywhere from 14 to
21 hours depending on the skill level of the student. This class is
geared toward moving a student from proficient level WordPerfect skills
to Operator level Word skills. The students in this class already have
legal background but need their skills to be enhanced.
EDGAR
The EdgarEase Training class
is anywhere from 12 to 16 hours. The 12 hour class will take a an operator
level candidate and give them Edgar operator skills. A student that
leaves this training will be ready for any level of Edgar that the client
needs.
The 16 hour class is designed to take Proofreaders
with computer skills and get them to the level of working Edgar Proofreaders.
What this means is someone who completes the class can not only proofread
the Edgar documents but also fix them. This utilizes your Legal Proofreaders
to their fullest potential. This class is also useful for secretaries
who are interested in doing Edgar. Students leaving this class are only
able to Edgarize documents and not able to do the actual filings.
